Script Interiors is a full-service design studio based in Chicago, working with clients across the country. We take on a small number of projects each year — homes first, and the restaurants, cafés and workplaces that borrow from them.
Our work balances classic bones with contemporary comfort. Plaster and limestone next to linen and walnut. Unlacquered brass left to darken. Vintage pieces sourced one at a time rather than ordered in a single afternoon.
The practice is one person on purpose. Manal Ajami is the designer you meet in the first walkthrough, the one drawing your millwork, and the one standing in the room at install.

Founder & principal designer
Manal founded Script Interiors and runs it on her own. She leads every project end to end — the first walkthrough, the concept, the plans and millwork drawings, the sourcing, and the punch list on install day.
That is the whole point of a studio this size. There is no handover to a junior designer and no account manager in between. You work with the person drawing your rooms, and she keeps the project list short enough to mean it.
